War Memorial Park Redevelopment Survey

War Memorial Park has long been one of Little Rock’s most important public spaces. But since the closing of the golf course in 2019, much of the park has become dormant, with no specific redevelopment plan fully realized. While some funding for the park was included in other multiple projects proposed in a 2021 and 2024 election to increase city sales taxes, these new taxes failed.

 

Now, a recent story in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reported that any redevelopment for War Memorial Park is “in limbo.” However, a proposed new park downtown next to I-30 is receiving attention by the city. You can read the story HERE.
